Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Policy

Objective

NeoLiv is committed to conducting its real estate development activities in a manner that ensures health, safety, and well-being of its employees, contractors, visitors, and all connected stakeholders.

This policy also reinforces our commitment to environmental stewardship by minimizing the environmental impact of our operations.

Definition

The NeoLiv Group shall collectively mean all the entities associated with NeoLiv Capital Advisory, including NeoLiv Real Estate, Inliv Real Estate Fund, all the asset SPVs, including SPVs that shall form part of NCA in future.

Applicability

This Policy has been approved and adopted by the Board of Directors and is applicable to the Manager and NeoLiv Group.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and third-party stakeholders involved in the operations, including all real estate development projects, regional and corporate offices.

Roles and Responsibilities

Role Responsibility
Head Office Development Lead (Management) • Accountable for HSE performance (including compliance, resourcing, and controls) within their respective operations and locations.
• Promotes awareness of this HSE policy and awareness of HSE risks in their area.
• Escalates material breaches of compliance to appropriate leadership and Global HSE.
Respective Zonal Safety Head • Implements NeoLiv’s HSE Programs in all facilities and sets objectives, targets for operational performance.
• Demonstrates leadership and champions company values in matters pertaining to HSE.
Ethics, Risk and Compliance HSE • Establishes and maintains overall HSE Governance process including controls, conformance reviews and compliance audits.
• Owns and maintains HSE Documentation Framework.

Health & Safety

The health and safety of our employees, contractors, and all our stakeholders is of paramount importance to us. To ensure this we will:

  • Integrate Health & Safety aspects in every business decision we make and in every activity we perform. Leaders at all levels, demonstrate their personal commitment to H&S to promote Principle of Prevention of unsafe situations by integrating requirements from design & engineering stage to operation and maintenance
  • Work with fundamental belief that all injuries and occupational illness can and must be prevented. Working safely is a condition of employment to meet our goal of “Zero Harm”.
  • Adhere to all local and national health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ensure safe place to work by identifying, assessing and conducting regular risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to prevent workplace accidents and incidents.
  • Reduce risks & vulnerabilities to as low as reasonably practicable by applying hierarchy of controls for process, machinery, infrastructure, and human behaviour and prevent any potential emergency situations.
  • Provide safety training, knowledge and awareness programs to all employees and contractors. Build capacity by engaging employees, business partners and service providers through appropriate education and training to help them work safely. Influence our business partners in enhancing their H&S standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and facilitate assurance of H&S programs and take timely action on findings to integrate learnings ensuring continued compliance to safety management system requirements.
  • Equip worksites and offices with adequate Personal Protective Equipment, safety equipment, first-aid supplies, fire protective systems and emergency response procedures.
  • Address any concerns that are voiced by any of our stakeholders which are pertaining to Health and Safety.
  • Proactively report all incidents, investigate root causes, and ensure lessons learnt are shared and deployed across all locations of our operations.
  • Set H&S objectives and targets, metrics as indicators of excellence, monitor progress and continually improve performance. Provide adequate resources to ensure continual improvement of H&S management and performance.

Environment

We recognize our responsibility to minimize environmental impact during the entire lifecycle of our projects. Therefore, we will:

  • Comply with all applicable national, regional, and local environmental laws, regulations and standards and endeavor to go beyond compliance.
  • Implement sustainable construction practices that focus on energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation and minimizing carbon footprints.
  • Continually improve the environmental performance by setting goals, targets, and processes for efficient use of natural resources, waste minimization, emission reduction and pollution prevention and product stewardship.
  • Conserve and protect biodiversity in and around of our operational sites in cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Achieve No-Net Loss at our project operations by implementing the mitigation hierarchy by avoiding, minimizing, and restoring the direct impacts and offsetting the residual impacts.
  • Reduce our impact on environment and climate change and regularly assess environmental risks and opportunities associated with our projects by taking appropriate mitigation & adaptation measures.
  • Participate in green building certification programs and advocate for the utilization of environmentally sustainable materials and technologies in construction.
  • Create environmental awareness through continuous engagement with internal and external stakeholders to adopt principles and practices in alignment with this policy and industry best practices.
  • Monitor, measure, and report the progress on environmental performance in compliance with national and internationally recognized protocols and communicate approach and achievements to relevant stakeholders.
  • Undertake internal and third-party audits at regular intervals to assess the environmental performance and subsequent mitigative actions.

Commitment to Sustainable Procurement

In its efforts to reduce the effects of climate change, NeoLiv will strive to source and utilize products that are:

  • Locally sourced or recovered materials.
  • Materials with low embodied carbon.
  • Low-emission VOC materials.
  • Easily recyclable materials and packaging.
  • Materials that provide information on environmental impacts.
  • Materials that reveal potential health risks.
  • Rapidly renewable materials and those containing recycled content.

Violation or Breach of this Policy:

Any violation or breach of this policy shall be dealt with procedures framed by the company from time to time.

Review and Amendments

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness and amended as deemed necessary.
